Spain shows 10% of users of cryptocurrencies among its inhabitants, which places it among the countries with the highest adoption in Europe, followed by Russia and Denmark with 9% and 8%, respectively.
The use of cryptocurrencies is higher in the eastern region of Europe, compared to the western region and English-speaking countries.
South Africa, for its part, is among the five countries with the highest number of cryptoactive users, with 16%. Meanwhile, Japan is at the bottom of the list of surveyed countries, with only 3% of its population counting among those who have used or possessed cryptocurrencies.
Venezuela was not reflected among the nations surveyed by Statista. However, according to statistics shown on the Coin Dance portal, the South American country is a leader in the region in exchange of BTC through the LocalBitcoins platform.
