British Government will Host Fintech International Conference in April.
The UK government will be organizing a Fintech International Conference in April aimed at attracting more financial technology users as well as maximizing Fintech investments in central London. The event will be held on the 12th of the fourth month of the year.
The conference aims to bring together Fintech companies, investors including Sovereign Wealth funds, family offices and high net worth. The conference will have a tone session where the leaders and the first companies of the community will be shown in the exhibition space with their innovations.
Apart from the tone session, the conference will also feature fire chats, panels, workshops and other events.
Simon Kirby, Economic Secretary to the Treasury said: “The government is determined that London stays at the cutting edge of financial innovation and that’s why we will host a new, annual fintech conference to boost capital investment in one of our fastest growing sectors,” he says. “This will bring together hundreds of British fintech firms and investors from around the world and cement our position as the global fintech capital.”
One of the aims of the British Government is to reassure investors, and to continue demonstrating that the United Kingdom is still a place to do business.
This idea is good as it shows London as Fintech’s capital of the world, while encouraging companies and investors to settle down or simply dedicate resources to innovative financial companies.
