The Bitcoin stagnates and it’s still losing ground front the ETH

Domestic war into bitcoin community, the lack of new projects and ideas, increasing the difficulty of mining and the advance that has had the ETH thanks to initiatives such as the DAO and smart contracts, have made that bitcoin lose ground and stagnate in a “dangerous” position, which could cause that the value of the currency low and that long-term the project will be forgotten.

In addition, one of the best-funded exchanges called Coinbase has decided to bet on the ETH re launching their brand (GDAX) to offer its customers the possibility of exchange theirs ETH by USD or BTC.

In words of Fred Ehrsam, co-founder of Coinbase, the bitcoin “stagnation” is characterized and widely surpassed by innovation presented in projects such as Ethereum. Ehrsam message is clear and the ETH is shown as a strong competitor to the BTC and is likely to exceed it in a very short time.

“There is nothing that bitcoin can do which Ethereum can’t. While Ethereum is less battle tested, it is moving faster, has better leadership and has more developer mindshare. First mover advantage is challenging to overcome, but at current pace, it’s conceivable.” – Ehrsam wrote.

Ehrsam words perhaps fall like a bucket of cold water for many enthusiasts of the Bitcoin, however, it is important to understand that the Bitcoin urgently needs a rethink, a version 2.0 that will help to heal the deficiencies found in the road.

Among other things, the Ethereum has managed to overcome the Bitcoin since it offers a scripting language relatively easy to use and understanding for developers, which promotes the creation of interesting and exciting projects that promise to revolutionize the way that we do things. On the contrary, the bitcoin began as an experiment and never thought that it will reach such a success, in so little time, therefore the script of the Bitcoin language is not so intuitive, easy to use and sometimes it is restrictive.

It is important to see the signs that are shown in the picture, it is not look for guilty ones, conspiracies or enemies in the shadows, it is about evolving. Everything seems to point to the bitcoin is lagging behind and in need of fresh ideas, a paradigm shift and a better understanding of the needs of the main actors.
